We are proud and happy to share the news that FibreStrap has been tested and approved. It is now established that FibreStrap easily can replace plastic solutions without compromising on strength and endurance.

Recent tests show that FibreStrap is more than sufficiently designed and equipped to handle the requirements for cable ties as a means used for managing, securing, and attaching in any industry. FibreStraps sustainable paper cable ties have been certified according to the industry standard IEC 62275:2022 at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Borås at the department for Polymeric materials and composites. We can now safely say we are ready for any challenge.

“The test is made to simulate the harsh outdoors environment in Central Sweden for the duration of one year. The product has been exposed to UV-light, humidity and a range of temperatures for 1,000 hours to ensure that it can endure the conditions of different applications.”, says Tobias Bergarp, co-founder of FibreStrap.

Handles the test of time

The test required for IEC 62275:2022 is a standard for cable ties, allowing customers to compare and choose a product that can handle the test of time. Whether it be electrical installations, retail, packaging, agriculture, or events.

“Let’s talk about the real issue: there are very few situations where your product needs to be strapped and secured for 400 years. With the price the environment has to pay – is it reasonable to manufacture a product made to last for hundreds of years only to use it once? No, it isn’t!”, says Tobias. “We can offer a product designed for the realistic lifespan most users need. All while lowering their impact on the environment. A sustainable solution that does not compromise on quality. And now we have the certification to prove it.”
